OfflineHey Benny!
After reading your ESL blog, I wondered what it would be like to be an ESL teacher. I'm native at English, but I have the same accent/speech impediment of words ending with "r". So, I would also say Stah instead of Star, Hoarse instead of Horse. I was wondering if its still possible to be an ESL teacher with these impediments, and has it every bothered you during your ESL teaching?

OfflineI'm an EFL teacher, and it really doesn't matter. I work with people who have accents from all over the Uk, South Africa, the States and wherever. As long as you have a degree and some kind of TEFL / CELTA certificate, you should have no problem as a native speaker of English to get a job.
The most important thing in my opinion is to find a good school which "look after" you while you get used to the country you choose to move to and that you have enough free time and money to enjoy the experience outside of the classroom as well as the teaching.
I'm guessing you're from the north of England with such an "impediment" right? ;)
