Really interesting article!
Here's a couple excerpts:
A series of experiments on more than 300 people from the U.S. and Korea found that thinking in a second language reduced deep-seated, misleading biases that unduly influence how risks and benefits are perceived.
The researchers believe a second language provides a useful cognitive distance from automatic processes, promoting analytical thought and reducing unthinking, emotional reaction.
“Given that more and more people use a foreign language on a daily basis, our discovery could have far-reaching implications,” they wrote, suggesting that people who speak a second language might use it when considering financial decisions. “Over a long time horizon, this might very well be beneficial.”

OfflineLearning a second language is helpful in a variety of ways – particularly if your native language is English.
I think it helps us look back on our native languages and finally understand how it works. Not to be a grammar Nazi but I know understand when and where most grammatical rules function. I might not use them because of slang or bad habits but I still recognise why a word is wrongly-put when it is.
It also causes us to look into a new culture to quite a depth. I don't claim to be an expert on India – there's more I don't know than I do – but I know more than the average non-Indian because my learning of Hindi caused me to look for Hindi resources and thereby Indian news, films and music.
At the end of the day there's also no denying that if you're in a culture of monolinguals and you can hammer out a rough phrase in one or two foreign tongues you're seen as the smartest person in the room. It's an unhealthy motive to base learning a language around but it can't be denied that it's nice to know you're admired for something.

OfflineTo Learn a foreign language such as: French, spanish, Korean is not really easy. But we must be patient. Moreover, We can learn a lot of things with this foreign language: such as culture, science, art, …
To speak as a native speakers we should speak a lot. We should pratise speaking, writting everyday… often when we learn a new language , we have to use our mother language in our mind and then trasnlate it into foreign language.
