OfflineYou probably aren't doing anything wrong. The backup/restore feature is buggy on the original LWT itself (for me anyways), and then I had to rewrite it a different way for this site anyways. I don't think I've had that problem though – can you look at your backup text file and see if it contains the missing texts? (The backup file is a jumble of SQL code, but if you do a search for a word or phrase you know is in the missing text, you'll find it.) What do you mean by 'unnecessary signs' and stuff?

As I am using backup/restore (in the original, local, LWT, of course) every day without any problems, and as there are no complaints until now from many other users of the original LWT, the backup/restore is NOT buggy at all.
It's a gzip compressed SQL file to recreate all records in all tables. Maybe your server has no gzip support but that is quite seldom the case.
Benny's LWT is still broken in many places (tags, e.g.), and as the developer of the original and bug free product I am quite annoyed that many bugs are still not fixed here, giving a wrong (buggy) impression of the original LWT.
The LWT here is not my baby, and nobody asked me for advice or help, so I can do nothing about it.

OfflineI said it was buggy for me, and it was – on my standard installation on my computer, it just freezes when you try to upload a file. I can fill out a bug report if no one else has reported anything similar, but I never use that one anyways so I never really thought about it.
When I say it's buggy, I didn't mean to imply that this problem is your fault, it isn't; rather that that's just why I didn't investigate the bug further. On this server, it always spits out a small, broken file, so something might be wrong with the GZip installation… so I eventually decided that GZip compression was unimportant and cut it out of the process.

OfflineI’m learning English so it’s hard for me to explain clearly my problem. I‘m using Windows-7, Firefox 9.0.1, winrar3.92, xampp-win32-1.7.7-VC9-installer and lwt_v_1_4_5. What you suggest to use if you say “the backup/restore is NOT buggy at all.”
I tried to archive text before backup, but this doesn’t solve the problem. Luckily after restore known words isn’t deleted. Like duckshirt mentioned backup text file contains the missing texts and all statistic isn’t broken-changed after restore.
duckshirt, this is subtitles before deleting some 'unnecessary signs' and stuff:
29
00:01:55,200 --> 00:01:56,234
Ooh. It's Daddy.
30
00:02:06,701 --> 00:02:08,667
Okay. Who went shopping?
After deleting 'unnecessary signs' and stuff this looks like. All text is like in the column, maybe this is the problem. Words in the text is ~2500:
Ooh. It's Daddy.
Okay. Who went shopping?

I found a reason why some of my texts disappeared after backup/restore. In the text was this: "- -"(without a space between them). So if someone have the same problem check your text for this, maybe this can help for you. Good luck in study with a wonderful program.
Just tested it in the STANDARD version, "- -" causes no problems. Must be a problem of Benny's version and/or server.

Offline@LWT_Project This forum is NOT about the standard version.
Please stop posting the exact same message across several threads. If people have problems with the standard version they'll post it in your forum, but the presumption here is that they are talking about the Fi3M version. Honestly, it's so wasteful to post that message you keep writing – it's like someone going on a Windows forum posting about how they don't have this problem on their mac, so get a mac. This doesn't help.
There are issues that we are aware of and are getting to. Duckshirt and I have been in touch over the last days about looking into the error log to try and find out the source of the major problems and see if we can eliminate the major bugs on this system.
Thanks for all your great work in providing this fantastic language learning system, and I know it's your baby and you are frustrated that it's buggy on this site. But the rewritten version on this site is MY baby that a hell of a lot of work has been put into, and I get equally frustrated by your unhelpful messages.
From now on, let's presume that all errors mentioned on this forum are unique to the Fi3M version – there is no need to remind us all the time of this. If the bugs are too frustrating for people, even though most of them will likely get fixed within the next week or so, then they are welcome to use the offline version (although it's much more complicated to set up and can only be used on one computer, or can be installed on your own server, but that's also very complicated to set up for non-technical users).

You may delete my account if you are so annoyed by my posts. I am not able to do it myself because such an option seems not available.

OfflineWhy would I delete your account? You've written some extremely valuable and essential posts in this forum.
Just keep in mind that this forum isn't about the standard version, and hinting that people should use that instead (ignoring a lot of the issues with the standard version, which is why I created this online more user-friendly sign-up version in the first place) doesn't help, that's all.
Your recent idea about the Google Translate fix for example is really helpful, and I hope you'll stick around to point people in the right direction there. Duckshirt and I are still emailing back and forth with replacement code and hopefully we can fix some of the frustrating bugs soon.
