Gaius and anyone,

I'm gonna start reading "Le Petit Prince"/ "The Little Prince" today bilingual. There are 27 small chapters. I hope to do one chapter a day, so I'll be done with it by the end of the month. You can buy it in any language you want to learn I think, and maybe even get chapters off internet (I haven't checked). I hope we can also find a French version on YouTube for pronounciation.

I'm gonna do it parallel to my study at a language school where I do grammar, and to my study of lyrics. I'm gonna buy the film "Intouchables" and maybe some others, and will keep playing them on my DVD so I'll have French language at home all day.

I'm going shopping today, so I'm taking vocab lists book with me and will be learning words as I walk. I did it when I studied Japanese-learnt words as I walked. Just careful when crossing the street.

I plan to go to Paris once or twice this month, but I don't feel motivated to study French in Paris as there is so much to do, and I like speaking English with those who can speak English, unless they're Japanese- with Japanese I prefer to speak Japanese, with Russians- it depends. I definitely prefer to write English when I speak to Russians. English is a cool language when it comes to getting things done

Next month I might read "Alice in Wonderland" in French&English or tripple with German. Will see. Good luck! For vocab lists I'm starting with numbers, medical terms and food names so I could make my films in French straight away.

Just one thing : merde is extremely vulgar. For my part I would say "zut" ( c'est très édulcoré mais bon ^^ ), or "crottes"; which means basically the same thing.

J'aime Paris. Je ne vois pas de problème avec le malbouffe. Chacun ses goûts – en plus, la malbouffe est bon marché; c'est souvent l'unique choix pour beaucoup de personnes.

Moi, je mange des légumes tout le temps. Toutefois, lorsque j'étais à Paris, je mangeais du kebab tout le temps – parce que c'était si peu cher: 5 euros pour un kebab immense avec des frites et du coca-cola light. Vraiment, c'était à Saint-Denis (où j'étais/ je vivais), pas à dans Paris même; quand même, c'était une option moins chère que celle de déguster de la cuisine française tous les jours – et ça ne prend pas autant de temps que de cuisiner. J'ai préferé m'engraisser un peu que diventer pouvoir ( I just don't understand what you meant by "diventer" ?)

Well, I don't have any problem with malbouffe in general ( I also do love kebabs , and chich taouk too ^^ ), but I don't agree with Paris being "capital of malbouffe " that's all ^^

I don't eat pruneaux, or foie gras everyday : this is neither good for health nor for my bank account.

Haven't given an update for quite a while.

I've been terribly busy, preparing my trip to Europe and working. I actually finished my job and I'm teaching my replacement a few things before departing.

I managed to take French to that "talking to yourself" level. What I mean is that I talk to myself all the times, in different languages. Everyday sentences like : "I'm waiting for my friend and she is late", "The cat looks hungry", "I intend to decapitate the bastard who parked at my spot". So now those monologues are performed in French, and if I'm missing a word I'll check it out when I return home.

An amusing thing happened. People always told me that the French don't speak English when in France. Well, apparently that's true. I sent some refuge where I'll be staying an e-mail to reserve accommodation for myself, and I wrote it in English. And of course they replied in French
