    Hi everybody!

In a couple of days, I'm going to Turkey this summer to visit my grandparents! I'll be staying only for a month, but during that time I will step up my very poor Turkish! smile

My mission: Fluent Turkish in 3 months

Breakdown: Speak to my father in 1 month(when I come back), basic subjects…

Month 2, move on to harder and difficult subjects with my two Turkish friends.

                             Conversational fluency by Month 3

Write correctly by Month 4! wink

             When: NOW!

                                                          Thanks for your help,

                                                                                     – languagemadness

Sounds like a fun time laugh Just out of curiosity, are you recording your progress in any way (not implying that you need to be!)?

Another Turkish learner on the forum, that's great!

If you need anything about Turkish, I'm here as always. Don't hesitate to ask me. wink

Now that you mention it, tarjmu, I think I will record my progress.

So far, sadly, I have a basic level of fluency, even as it is Month 2. Since school ended, I was less disciplined in the summer, but since school starts soon (less time, though) I might finish by Month 3. Another reason that I haven't met my goal was because overseas, I didn't have the proper resources to study(except the Turkish-speaking peoplelaugh), as my book was left at my home and I didn't have any internet connection.

Now that the excuses are over…,wink I'm back to learning Turkish! And I'll come back with updates soon!

@Emre: I will totally be taking up that offer! I've only been learning Turkish for about three or four days now, and I'm completely enthralled by it. I get all giddy when I learn something new laugh Its strange, I wasn't planning on learning it, if ever, until something sparked my interest a few days ago.

@languagemadness: Ah I see! Stuff happens, don't beat yourself up too much wink Plans are supposed to change! Haha. Well nice! I'm looking forward to seeing the updates laugh
