OfflineI think I didn't do today anything… there might be some changes coming to my mission soon though. Stay tuned
Tomorrow I work and I will see war plains Rafale, flying above Paris… last week when they were training it was scary and very sad… I imagined being in a country which is being bombarded in order to fight terrorism or in the name of the god democracy… La France Forte… C'est maintenant!

OfflineHello,
What version of Assimil do you have ?
Only the book? or the package with Audio?
This method seems to be famous and good,
I took it for Romanian,
but only the book, and it's quite difficult to memorize the lessons
because of lack of pronunciation.
(that's why i record some videos on my website)
For other languages that i would like to learn, i think i will take the version with audio files, but it's more expensive.
see you

Offlinenothing today… There were many changes in my plans for the summer though and I will write about it tomorrow.
Fabrice:
I didn't know that it's even possible to buy without audio. I have the one with and I find it extremely useful. First I practice my listening skills with it. Second I find the audio to be absolutely essential when learning pronunciation, especially in such a language as French. Without it I would pronounce every second word in a wrong way.

OfflineOk, the audio version is definitely the one to buy. Thank you for your answer.
We are waiting for your new plan of learning

OfflineI didn't do well today, because I didn't follow the plan… I just reviewed old words on memrise.
I decided to quit my job and spend one month traveling with my girlfriend, but unfortunately it didn't work out and we are staying in Paris. If I'm not gonna travel for now, I still want to have some interesting, challenging and developing life experience. My plan is to learn French full time for the next month! It's gonna be very hard as I don't have developed discipline and right habits supporting that mission, but I will not accept failure from the stand point of attitude. I want to prove myself that I really can make my goals and dream become reality.
My plan is:
9:30 get up, drinking 1l of water, doing push ups and squeezing my gripper, packing learning materials and food into my backpack, going out to Centre Pompidou
- I don't read, listen or speak in English at all, especially with my girlfriend untill 22:00
- I do my minimum daily goal of: 3 lessons of Assimil and Blondynka na Językach, 15 words on memrise. After I finish that I can still do only activities that involve learning French like talking to people on street, going on meetings with French speakers or keep learning from my materials.
22:00 writing post on this forum about my progress. English possible zone
22:30 working on some personal development material
23:00 I turn off my laptop and do stretching exercises.
23:50 I go to bed
If I will feel like I'm burning out I might take 1 day off from learning. I will probably be tweaking the plan as I get more comfortable with the schedule to make it better and because I would like to incorporate some aerobic exercise like running, swimming or biking on a longer distance than to Pompidou
My phone is set to remind me about my schedule tomorrow. This night I will not sleep so much, but it shouldn't be that bad and I will catch up tomorrow.
It's gonna be a big challenge. I'm excited!
A demain!

OfflineI had problems to wake up today and instead of going to learn I tried to buy something on sales but it was pretty hard to find trousers 32-34 in waist… Tomorrow I might still go to buy something or go to do some activities, but I will start with going to Pompidou first and doing some part of learning in the morning.
What I did:
- 3 lessons of Assimil
- almost 2 lessons of Blondynka na językach
For the 80% of time I managed to speak only French with my girlfriend today. Sometimes it was quite frustrating, but I'm gonna stick to this plan
A demain

OfflineWhat I did:
- 2 lessons of Assimil
- I finished the lesson of Blondynka na Językach and did also another one.
I woke up late today, and spoke with my girlfriend only for 50% of the time in French. We were getting annoyed at times, but I'm not gonna stop and repeating "Common?" when she talks to me in English
I might also send her to Pompidou and stay at home myself, so that I could repeat loud sentences in French.
A demain!

OfflineWhat I did:
- lesson 39 Assimil
- lesson 21 Blondynka na językach
- 12 words on memrise
I'm angry on myself, because everyday I'm learning less and I'm talking more in English. Today I even violated the rule of not reading and listening to English, in a big way…
I didn't go today to Pompidou trying to learn at home and the results are terrible. I guess I will have to figure out some place where I can repeat say things loud
Oh… and "Common?" I should write 'Comment?'.

OfflineBottom…
I found a very interesting job offer on Craiglist and I decided that instead of sending a plain resume, I will create a Prezi presentation. I just practiced old words on Memrise today.
I want to compensate to my girlfriend for the time she spent today helping me with it so I will take her somewhere out, but first I go to Pompidou!
