I'd suggest Coffee Break Spanish.  http://radiolingua.com/shows/spanish/coffee-break-spanish/

They're 15-20 minutes podcasts (free in iTunes) and although I'm listening to the Coffee Break French, the format would be the same.  It's usable words and phrases right from the start.

I've found, like others have, that websites like livemocha and busuu are focused more on grammar.  You would learn phrases like, that boy is wearing a blue shirt.  That bores me to death knowing I'll never need to know how to say that.  I understand they're trying to teach grammar and sentence structure but I get bored with it.

Coffee Break French (and Spanish) teaches usable phrases.
