OfflineI'm starting this thread out of frustration. I want a site that compiles all the eBooks available in Spanish and tells you where to find/buy them. Why? Well, Ihave two Spanish penpals, who I also Skype with. I want to read some of the same books they read so we can discuss them. Currently I look at Project Gutenberg for classics, Nook or Kindle for newer. It's really a pain to redo all the searches and for some odd reason even author sites don't seem to cross-reference where to find their own translations.
Please…has anybody out there found the site(s) I'm looking for?
By the way, it's possible to go through the back door and get PDFs of some books for major Spanish authors…but I'd rather support the authors when they are still living and presumably need the money to keep writing!

OfflineTryy Barnes and Noble's "libros in español" website? (nook)

It's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's all in Spanish, so maybe your Skype friends can tell you the title and you can do a search? Hope it at least helps a little!

OfflineWhat I found in my searches is that, there's a huge number of books which officially don't come in the ebook format. (Harry Potter for an example). So I had to use the back door. ( I like to think that by buying all the English hard copies and one Spanish one, I supported JKR
). Sometimes you don't have a choice. :/
For searching in amazon, you can use the following format : "<English Name Here> (Spanish Version)"

OfflineYou're right that the Harry Potter books don't come in e-book format, and it's rather annoying. That first book is a GREAT little resource! It's simple, but fairly predictable and engaging. All ebooks are publisher and author dependent, so many are not available. Many bookstores in the US have a fairly large selection of Spanish books, tapes, etc. And also the libraries.

OfflineFor now, I bought "La casa de los espíritus" ny Isabel Allende. I found it as a Nook book for the iPhone. Personally I like the Stanza app better…
Three links from my Spanish penpals, though selection is mediocre. Everyone seems to have the older, but recent authors…not so much.
