Learning Hebrew - is my method good?

I have just started learning Hebrew. My method is: I have downloaded an IPhone application which contains 5-10 minutes long lessons. The first 6 lessons teaches the consonants with some vocabulary, then the other lessons teach some basic words, sentences (like How are you? and Where are you from?) and very basic grammar. I do one new lesson every day and sometimes I get back to an older lesson if I don't remember it. I listen radio every day while I am studying minimum 2 hours a day. I don't understand it yet, but I allways catch a few words which I already know. When I finish the IPhone app, I'll continue with it: http://mek.niif.hu/05100/05127/05127.pdf It is an old Hebrew teaching book written in 1930. It contains grammar (not so many) and readings. I also turned my Facebook into Hebrew, but I can not read the words, because they do not contain the vowels. I have downloaded Hebrew dubbed children films, like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Disney movies. I don't watch television because I don't have time for it, but I'll hear them in the background.

Is it a good method?

All those things are good :)

Don't worry about the words not containing vowels, you will get used to it really fast as you practice more.

You could also try listening to Israeli pop music, there are lots of different styles like in any country, so pick what you enjoy and try to understand the words, maybe look up the lyrics to follow along.

Things like Hebrew Pod are probably good, I never tried it myself.

You can also get hold of easy Hebrew newspapers, they are probably online if you check, or maybe at least you can download sample issues online.

You can also see if there are Israeli tourists in your city and maybe you can go to couchsurfing or other events where they hang out. Benny has tons of tips for meeting people on his site.

This is a good method. Very complete and diverse sources. Just don't neglect your grammar, since Hebrew grammar, verbs and so forth are very different from English.

What is your native tongue?
