Hey. I need a bit of help with my turkish pronuonciation. (Just started learning it)

My mother tongue is danish, but I study russian at the university, and therefore I now quite a lot about the fonetics.

I was wondering about the similarities between the two languages.

So these sounds sounds alike to me:) Can anyone tell me if im right. Or if it is a good way to look at it?

C

Ç = Ч

Ş  = Ш

Z = З

ye = е

ya = я

I have problems with this sound "C" . Can anyone explain that one to me -

Thanks a lot

"c" is pronounced like an English "j" sound (dʒ). J as in "June"

All of them are correct. About "c", I agree with Kevin.

My Russian friend pronouced this letter like "ı", so I can say that it's correct too.
