After seven years of working hard to improve my language learning strategy, almost a year of blogging about my learning approach, and six weeks of full-time writing and research for it… the Language Hacking Guide is ready for download!
Click here to see a funny 8-language video I made to talk about it, and to read all about what you can find inside the 40MB download!
If you’d like to browse through the first few pages of the e-book part (to see the table of contents and get a feel for it), join the Language Hacking League e-mail list on the right of my site and you’ll get it free in your first e-mail. (You can unsubscribe immediately if you don’t want any more e-mails with language hacking tips after that) If you are already in the list you should have received it this morning
.
Only the first ones to download the guide will get a bonus for the next day or two! To see what that is, check out the description!
My hopes with this guide are to share the core of what has helped me to achieve the faster progress that I have in languages. The guide is separated into six parts: Mentality, Plan of Action, Communicating from Day One, Speaking with natives, Learning resources and Particular language issues. It is a mixture of positive attitude and particular techniques with examples and worksheets to help you try to do the same. There are also several interviews with some amazing language learners that some of you will certainly know!
This is only version 1.0 – there will be updates with full translations, and more sections added. I will even likely include updates in the next week, as people are already giving me their interesting suggestions (e.g. not just one PDF file for reading on a screen, but also a printable version and an ePub format version). These updates will be free.

When I started this blog, I had no idea I would be heading in this direction! But I have literally gotten hundreds of e-mails from people asking me to go into more detail into my method and to present it in an easier to read format than a blog with random articles. So the Guide is my attempt to do so. In seeing the popularity of the site, if I can actually earn a little money from the traffic (up until today I received €80 in donations over the year – nice, but not enough to help me pay off debts
) then I would have more free time to be able to write much more articles here
Everyone won’t buy the guide and that’s OK – the small amount of people that do will be helping me out, so that I can keep writing these posts to help people who need free tips! Any of my “secrets” currently in the guide will be shared in the blog in one form or another, but over a very long time and in a somewhat random way. I have a huge amount of ideas for posts that I want to write!
Hopefully, the support from the Guide will give me more free time to be able to write here more regularly
. I usually write only twice a week (recently only once), and I’d like to do it more
So check out the description and video and let me know what you think of it!

Comments: If you liked this post or have anything to say, please leave a comment! I love reading them
You don’t even have to write in English! I will reply to all comments in any language listed on the right with the flags.
Just keep in mind that I’ll delete any comments that:
1. Are unnecessarily nasty and mean to me or any other commenter or otherwise totally inappropriate.
2. Are irrelevant to the particular post they follow, or leave a link to a site that is totally irrelevant or are clearly spam. If you have a general language learning question, please ask it in the forums.
3. Use a commenter name of a business or brand instead of a human being or a spammy temporary disposable e-mail service, or a clearly fake address.
But that’s not you, so don’t worry! Can’t wait to see what you have to write… don’t be shy!!
