While I am still learning how Google + operates, I have seen several posts about using it for practicing. I was wondering if there was any interest in forming a Spanish group to practice both writing and speaking. I would like to create a "Hangout" where users (I believe up to ten at a time) can converse using web cams and mics. Ideally, we could have potential topics in mind prior to beginning and set a time aside when we could meet and talk to one another. I have a few ideas of where I would like to see this go, and hopefully with the help of others it can be developed. If there is anyone out there who would like to give this a shot, send me a message here and can exchange Google E mails.

I would like to get at least ten people who can work together to come up with maybe weekly topics to talk about. I guess it wouldn't hurt to invite a native Spanish speaker to help us out if possible. If you have a Google + page, PM me here and I'll add you to my circle. I would really like for this idea to take off, not only with Spanish, but all languages.

Hola a todos! Sipes, I added you to my circle on Google (I think). Let me know if it worked! My plan (which is up for modification) is to have up to ten people get together on, say Tuesday night to talk for 45 min- 1 hour. Of course people could come and go for as long as they like. Again, this is a work in progress and I hope we can all work together to get it going.

It seems we have at least 5 or 6 people who can get together to chat in Spanish. Since I've never organized something like this, I am open to all suggestions, but my thinking right now is to try for an initial meetup this coming Monday, March 5th. around 3:00 PM EST here in the U.S. I realize this might be a great time for some and a horrible time for others, so if all goes well, I thought we could try a second attempt the next evening, Tuesday, March 6th around 7:00 PM EST. I'm sure there may be some technical difficulties to work out, so this will be like a trial run, unless anyone wants to try it out beforehand. Send me a PM and let me know. Like I said in my last post, I can be somewhat flexible, and I realize we all have schedules to work around. As far as what we can talk about, I thought it might be a good idea to introduce ourselves, tell a little about why we are learning Spanish, and what our goals are right now. Of course, I don't want this to be scripted, as I think we will learn more by not having things mapped out in advance, but of course we need a starting point. (Also, if you want to message me here or on Google+, feel free to write in Spanish as well.) Ok, looking forward to getting this going!
