OfflineI'm 22 and my wife is 23. I'm fluent (converse, read, write) in Spanish and English, and my wife is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese (both native English speakers).
I just came across this website today, and I'm excited! I'm hesitant to buy the language hacking guide, but I'd like to hear from those of you who use it and what your thoughts are.
The main point of this post is that we are going to Paris at the end of April. She studied French in highschool, so she can usually read things without missing a beat (knows how to pronounce, doesn't understand much anymore) and I have no experience with French. We both have pronunciation come fairly easy to us. Anyway, after reading on this site I had the idea of ONLY speaking in French until we go to Paris. When I see French, I often am not quite sure how to pronounce things, so I'm looking for a good resource (preferably free) of French phrases with phonetics, or something else that I might not have thought of that will help aid us in this quest!!
Thanks so much for your help,
Peter

OfflineBenny's guide doesn't have any "language learning secrets" nor anything of the like, and quite frankly, the main points of it can be found for free on this very website. What it does give you over the free stuff is a well organized description of his method with a lot of practical tips and tricks. You know, the kind that comes with experience.
As for the method itself, I haven't had a chance to fully test it. But to the extent that I have, I'm quite happy with it.
I personally think the guide is good buy.
