Learning how to speak Spanish? You can find plenty of useful lessons online without paying for a full course.

I’ve checked 25 podcasts, audio courses, YouTube channels, video series and structured lessons that you can use for free. A few also sell paid extras, but every entry below gives you something substantial before you spend anything.

Pick one resource that suits your level and start with it today. You can always add another when you know what kind of practice you are missing.

If you want a clear structure for putting your Spanish into practice, take a look at the Fluent in 3 Months Bootcamp. It’s a 90-day programme with weekly coaching calls, a private community and a focus on speaking from day one.

If you want a quick tour before you start, this video walks through some of the best ways to learn Spanish online for free.

Learn Spanish with Free Online Spanish Podcasts

Podcasts are one of my favourite ways to learn a language because you can take them anywhere. These three give you more than random conversation: each has material arranged by level or topic.

  • SpanishPod101: You can open a free account for beginner lessons, then decide whether the larger paid library is worth it for you.
  • Show Time Spanish: An archived intermediate and advanced series from the Coffee Break team.
  • Notes in Spanish: Conversations and lessons from a British-Spanish couple, organised from beginner through advanced levels.

Learn Spanish with Free Audio Lessons

If you would rather follow a complete audio course, start with one of these:

  • FSI Basic Spanish: A public-domain course built by the US Foreign Service Institute, with audio drills and downloadable textbooks focused on Latin American Spanish.
  • Language Transfer Complete Spanish: A free audio course that teaches you to build Spanish from patterns you already recognise.
  • Coffee Break Spanish: Short, structured audio lessons that begin at the basics and continue into more advanced Spanish.
  • Easy Spanish Podcast: Everyday conversations with hosts from Spain and Mexico, backed by the Easy Spanish video team.

YouTube: Free Video Spanish Lessons

YouTube has enough Spanish teaching to keep you busy for years. These channels give you clear lessons or learner-friendly listening practice:
